Strathfieldsaye and District Community Enterprise grant success

We are very excited to announce the Strathfieldsaye and District Community Enterprise (SDCE) has supported our plans for the MTB Skills Loop as part of the upgrade of Muldoon Reserve with a grant to the value of $5000. SDCE are a great support for community organisations such as ours in providing assistance to the development of community assets. The Skills Loop will provide a fantastic asset to the mountain biking community of all ages and abilities, open to all and accessible any time to enable the development MTB riding skills.

The crew from Trailscapes have already completed the Pumptrack and the construction of the Skills Loop is already underway with an expected completion by the end of May 2017.

The Project has also seen a partnership agreement for the next 4 years between the BMBC and Bendigo Toyota. The agreement provides funding over the term toward maintenance and improvements where available to the Skills Loop and Pumptrack.

The Muldoon Reserve upgrade incorporates 4 separate developments, a trailhead shelter and hard pan area, a 1.5m with gravel pathway forming a community loop starting at the trailhead shelter, the completed Pumptrack and near completed Skills Loop. Great support from City of Greater Bendigo will see the commencement of the shelter and hardpan area in June 2017
