To participate in any club run event all riders must wear an Australian Standards Approved helmet during social rides and competition.
Entry is free for the kids ride, $5 for the beginners ride plus $5 day licence fee for non MTBA members.
The cost for handicap races are $10 (under 18 $5) plus $20 day licence fee for non MTBA members. You must present a valid MTBA licence or you will have to purchase a day licence.
If you plan to ride most of the club winter/summer series a club membership is the best value way to go.
Each Summer series race is held on a Tuesday night with a duration of approximately 1hour.
The type of race for that night is advertised on the calendar and the kids race is run prior regardless of the event type. Race types include: Handicap, Category and Poker races, if we think of others we'll add those too.
Kids races kick off at 5:45pm with adults accompanying them through the shortened course finishing at 6:15pm.
Main races start at 6:30pm with rego open from 6pm. New competitors are encouraged to pre-register online at this website at least 1 day prior to the event
Riders must enter for the series to be eligible to win the overall series prize pool.
You can pre-register for a club event by filling in the pre-registration form prior to the event. Please note you must pre-register the day before the club race otherwise your registration information may not be downloaded in time to be recorded into the timing system.
This form is not to be used for the GTE or Bendigo six hour events.
Keep an eye on the home page calendar for key dates!
Women's Skills Sessions
Our club run women's skills sessions are continuing to build momentum. Jo has put on two sessions now and is really pleased with how they have been received so far.
‘It is clear everyone has enjoyed being out with other women and evidently feel confident enough to challenge themselves within this supportive small group environment’
The sessions are currently aimed at beginner to intermediate levels. Within the sessions Jo has touched on a range of fundamental skills; riding positions - climbing and descending, braking, cornering and maintenance of general flow when riding. The sessions have been conducted on our local Spring Gully Trail Network, using sections of trail that are all easily located.
If you are interested in taking part in any of the above sessions please get in touch with Jo at firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest.
Bendigo MTB Women's Challenge
We think this is a great way for women to enjoy a more social and fun focused event with a particular emphasis on participation rather than competition. Stay tuned for more information regarding this event.
